FAQs

  • Can I book appointments online?

We offer online appointment bookings for standard consultations. These generally go for approximately 10-15 minutes and you will be able to discuss 1-2 issues only.

The following conditions may require more time and you need to book a longer appointment:

    • Appointments for new patients
    • Needing to discuss more than 2 problems
    • Childhood Immunisations or screening assessment
    • Pap Smears/CST/Breast Checks
    • Any Workcover related issues, including certificates, case conference etc.
    • Pre-employment Medicals
    • Health Assessments/Chronic Management Plans/Mental Health Plans

Generally, only 1 patient can be seen per standard consultation. Please book separate appointments for each family member.

Please cancel any appointment that you are unable to attend as soon as possible online or by phone. Two non-attendances will cause you to be blocked from making future online bookings.

  • Can I arrange a Telehealth appointment?

Our practice provides Telehealth appointments to patients that have seen us face-to-face in the previous 12 months. As we are in a new location, then most patients will need to attend in person. Please advise our staff if you are not sure whether you are eligible for a Telehealth appointment.

  • Can I get a medical certificate?

Medical certificates are available and can be requested at the time of your appointment with your doctor or when you book through Health Engine.

  • What about if I need a referral or a script renewal?

If you need a repeat of a script or a referral to a specialist, you will need to come in or arrange a Telehealth in most instances. This is to ensure that you are getting the most appropriate the best possible health care.

  • How can I get my results?

Please ensure that you book a follow up appointment to see the GP to find out the results of a test. The GP will not give results out over the phone unless it is arranged during a prior consultation.

  • Can someone else pick-up documents on my behalf?

Photo ID is required to collect any patient information from reception. If you need a friend or a family member to collect something on your behalf, please make sure our receptionists are informed beforehand. This is to ensure we have been given your consent to release the information to that person in line with privacy regulations.

  • Is there cancellation fee?

There is no cancellation fee if you can no longer attend your appointment.

If you wish to cancel your appointment, please contact us on (02) 8865 4700 or through the Health Engine message.
